== Notable finds and artifacts ==
In Montet and other later archaeologists excavations of Tanis, many important and unique artifacts were found. When the sealed tombs of kings [[Psusennes I]], [[Amenemope (pharaoh)|Amenemope]], and [[Shoshenq II]], were opened by Montet, all three were discovered with their tombs completely intact with all of the original funerary offerings. Another artifact is the [[Pectoral (Ancient Egypt)|Pectoral]] of King [[Amenemope (pharaoh)|Amenemope]], a piece of jewelry he would have worn hung around his neck on his chest.<ref name=":04">{{Cite web |last=Museum |first=Egypt |date=2022-08-11 |title=Pectoral of King Amenemope |url=https://egypt-museum.com/pectoral-of-king-amenemope/ |access-date=2025-03-15 |website=Egypt Museum |language=en-US}}</ref> The icon depicts the godesses [[Isis]] and [[Nephthys]] holding a lapis lazuli scarab with the [[cartouche]] of Amenemope.<ref name=":04" />

In the tomb of General [[Wendjebauendjed]], the High Priest of Khonsu at Tanis, a series of bowls and cups made of gold were found by Montet. One of the golden bowls has a polychrome glass rosette of a flower at the center. The rosette is "is thought...
