==Regulation== {{Unreferenced section|date=December 2023}} The primary regulator of communications, in particular [[telecommunications]], in China is the [[Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China|Ministry of Industry and Information Technology]] (MIIT). It closely regulates all of the industries outlined below with the exception of the radio and television sectors, which belong to the remit of the [[State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television]]. Since 2014, the [[Cyberspace Administration of China]] is responsible for setting policy and the regulatory framework for user content generated in online social activities on Internet portals.
