==Threshing festivals==
A threshing bee was traditionally a [[communal work|bee]] in which local people gathered together to [[wikt:pitch in#Verb|pitch in]] and get the season's threshing done. Such bees were sometimes [[festival]]s or events within larger [[harvest festival]]s.
