Until 2016, Vattenfall owned several open pit [[coal mine]]s digging up [[lignite]] for Vattenfall lignite power stations, including the [[Jänschwalde Power Station]], the [[Boxberg Power Station]], the [[Lippendorf Power Station]] (owned in part) and the [[Schwarze Pumpe Power Station]].
