====Queensland==== In [[Queensland]], the process for having someone declared a vexatious litigant is governed by the ''[[Vexatious Proceedings Act 2005]]'', which supplanted an earlier Act.<ref name="From Archive.org-1818794">{{cite web |url=http://www.courts.qld.gov.au/151.htm |title=Vexatious litigants |work=courts.qld.gov.au |date=November 28, 2007 |access-date=April 6, 2014 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110326220116/http://www.courts.qld.gov.au/151.htm |archive-date=March 26, 2011 |url-status=dead |author=<!--Staff writer(s); no by-line.-->}}</ref> The Act defines a vexatious proceeding to include a proceeding brought without merit or any prospect of success, with the consequence that it is not necessary to prove the existence of any improper motive in order to obtain relief under the Act. {{As of|2019|June}} there were 26 people found to be vexatious litigants.<ref name=":0" />
