=== Provisions === The President is to submit a report in writing at least 48 hours prior to notifying the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate the reasons necessary for U.S. armed forces being introduced, the constitutional and legislative right in which such introduction took place, and the estimated scope and length of the involvement in the conflict. The President is to routinely consult with Congress until U.S. armed forces are no longer engaged in hostilities or have been removed.
