From 1988 to 1990, the company's [[revenue]] grew each year, from $30 million to $100 million.<ref name="four" /> During this time, Monolithic Memories Inc. (MMI), the company which had been providing funding to Xilinx, was purchased by [[AMD]].<ref name="four" /> As a result, Xilinx dissolved the deal with MMI and went public on the Nasdaq in 1989.<ref name="four" /> The company also moved to a {{convert|144000|sqft|m2|adj=on}} plant in San Jose, California, to handle increasingly large orders from [[Hewlett-Packard|HP]], [[Apple Inc.]], [[IBM]] and [[Sun Microsystems]].<ref name="four" />
