There are several levels of ''madrasah'': ''Madrasah Ibtidaiyah'' (MI, the equivalent of [[elementary school]]), ''Madrasah Tsanawiyah'' (MTs, the equivalent of [[junior high school]]), ''Madrasah Aliyah'' (MA, the equivalent of [[senior high school]]), and ''Madrasah Aliyah Kejuruan'' (MAK, the equivalent of [[vocational high school]]).
