== Language ==
Ningbo speech is a dialect of [[Wu Chinese]] that has preserved many aspects of ancient Chinese phonology. Its original wording mode can be found in classical reference books. After the [[unequal treaty]] port opening, western culture gradually permeated Ningbo.
