===Sri Lanka===
First legal deposit of Sri Lanka was established in 1885 at the National Museum Library. The law of the country (according to National Archives Act No. 48 of 1973).<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.commonlii.org/lk/legis/num_act/nal48o1973234/  |date=30 April 2005 |website= Sri Lanka Consolidated Acts|access-date=25 October 2016|title=National Archives Law (No. 48 of 1973)}}</ref> requires that a copy of every document printed in the country has to be deposited in the legal deposit. There are five legal deposits in the country.
