===Greece=== In Greece, the maximum prison term for defamation, libel or insult was five years, while the maximum fine was β¬15,000.{{sfn |OSCE Report |2005 |p=68 |loc= items 6 and 7}} The crime of insult (Article 361, Β§ 1, of the Penal Code) may have led to up to one year of imprisonment or a fine, while unprovoked insult (Article 361-A, Β§ 1) was punished with at least three months in prison. In addition, defamation may have resulted in up to two months in prison or a fine, while aggravated defamation could have led to at least three months of prison, plus a possible fine (Article 363) and deprivation of the offender's [[civil and political rights|civil rights]].
