Various events were held in Seoul on that year's anniversary. Early on that day, a left-leaning group held a ceremony at the mountain [[Namsan Mountain|Namsan]]. A major celebration was held at the [[Bosingak]] pavilion. Present at the event were [[Syngman Rhee]], [[Kim Ku]], and [[O Se-chang]].
