==Personal life== On October 22, 1922, Wilber Rogan married Kathrine McWilliams, a Colorado farm girl. Their son Wilber Rogan, Jr., was born right after the 1924 World Series.<ref>Dixon 2002, pp. 44, 104.</ref> Between the 1923 and 1924 seasons, it was reported that Rogan spent the winter writing life insurance.<ref>[http://johndonaldson.bravehost.com/pdf/01641.pdf "Rogan and Players Report to Join Champion Monarchs" Chicago Defender, National Edition, Chicago, IL, March 15, 1924, Page 10]</ref> After his retirement as a player, Rogan became an [[umpire (baseball)|umpire]] in the [[Negro American League]] until 1946, then worked in the post office.<ref>Holway 1992, p. 184.</ref> He died in Kansas City, Missouri on March 4, 1967, at age 73.
