The [[Government of the United Kingdom|United Kingdom government]] undertook consultation exercises in 2020 concerning proposed improvements to the quality and value of financial information on the [[Company register#United Kingdom|UK companies register]], the powers of the registrar and a ban on companies having [[corporate directors]].
