===Backwards compatibility and re-release===
With the December 14, 2006, [[List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360|backwards compatibility]] update for the [[Xbox 360]], the Xbox release of ''Dead or Alive Ultimate'' can now be played on the Xbox 360.<ref name=xb/> On November 10, 2021, ''Dead or Alive 1 Ultimate'' and ''Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate'' became available to download separately on [[Xbox Live]] worldwide along with ''Dead or Alive 3'', hinting at the addition of the games to [[List of backward-compatible games for Xbox One and Series X/S|backward compatibility program]]. On November 15, 2021, all 3 games were added to the line up and became playable on [[Xbox One]] and [[Xbox Series X and Series S|Xbox Series X/S]].<ref name=verge/>
