The oblast has one of the most balanced percentage of religious people in the nation mainly due to large number of ethnic groups. The Jewish community is centered in the Dnipro ([[Golden Rose Synagogue, Dnipro|Golden Rose Synagogue]]) and Kryvyi Rih area, and emerged during a wave of Jewish immigration. ===Cities and towns=== There are 20 cities and towns on the [[Dnieper River]]. Major population centers today result from historical factors — with the advent of the iron development took place predominantly along the [[Kryvyi Rih]] and [[Dnipro]], a city located on the [[Dnieper]].
