In a December 2018 interview with [[Derrick Jensen (activist)|Derrick Jensen]], Linehan said: "I'm now in a position where I can answer the question honestly of 'if you were around at the time of something terrible happening like [[Nazism]], or whatever it happened to be, would you be one of the people who said "no, this is wrong", despite being opposed?'" In January 2019, Linehan expressed concern over the news that [[Mermaids (charity)|Mermaids]], a charitable advocacy organisation for transgender children and teenagers, was to receive a £500,000 lottery grant to open clinics around the United Kingdom.
