==Professorship at UC Berkeley== Robinson was not allowed to teach in the Mathematics Department at Berkeley after marrying [[Raphael M. Robinson]] in 1941, as there was a rule that prevented family members from working together in the same department.<ref name="NAS Memoir" /> Robinson then instead stayed in the statistics department despite wanting to teach calculus. Although Raphael retired in 1973, it was not until 1976 she was offered a full-time professorship position at Berkeley after the department heard of her nomination to the [[National Academy of Sciences]].<ref name=":1" />
