===Climate===
Kenora has a [[humid continental climate]] ([[Köppen climate classification]] ''Dfb'') with warm summers and cold, dry winters.<ref name="geography" /> Its climate is influenced by continental air masses. Winters are cold with a January high of {{convert|-11|C}} and a low of {{convert|-21|C}}. Temperatures below {{convert|-20|C}} occur on 45 days.<ref name="climate" /> The average annual snowfall is {{convert|158|cm|abbr=on|0}}, which is lower than places to the east as it is influenced by the dry air of continental high-pressure zones, resulting in relatively dry winters.<ref name="geography">{{cite web |url= http://www.ubcpress.ca/books/pdf/chapters/ecology/chapter2.pdf |title= Physical Geography of Ontario |access-date= 30 September 2012 |url-status= dead |archive-url= https://web.archive.org/web/20071217184751/http://www.ubcpress.ca/books/pdf/chapters/ecology/chapter2.pdf |archive-date= 17 December 2007 }}</ref> Summers are warm with a July high of {{convert|24|C}} and a low of {{convert|15|C|0}} and temperatures above {{convert|30|C|0}} occur on 5.3 days.<ref name="climate" /> The average annual precipitation is {{convert|662|mm|abbr=on|0}}, with most of it being concentrated in the summer months with June being the wettest month and February the driest.<ref name="climate" />

During the winter Kenora will get precipitation mostly in the form of snow, other forms of winter precipitation include ice, sleet, and freezing rain.
