Merck was legally named ''E. Merck [[Partnership|oHG]]'' until 1995. In 1995 it was listed on the [[Frankfurt Stock Exchange]] and became a [[KGaA]], legally named ''Merck KGaA''.{{cn|date=June 2024}}
