===Later career=== In February 2008, Singh announced that he had quit the Congress at a BJP-sponsored rally of the [[Jat people|Jat community]] held at [[Jaipur]] in the presence of [[Vasundhara Raje]], then [[Chief Minister]] of [[Rajasthan]].
