Paramor died in London, England on 9 September 1979, at the age of 66,<ref name="Larkin"/> a fortnight after [[Cliff Richard]] had returned to the top of the [[UK Singles Chart]] with "[[We Don't Talk Anymore (Cliff Richard song)|We Don't Talk Anymore]]",<ref name="500 Number One Hits">{{cite book
