Flak-Korps]] were tasked with protecting the 6th SS Panzer Army while en route to [[Zossen]] south of Berlin.<ref name=":15" /> From here the units' possible de-training locations would seem to be the cities along the [[Oder|Oder River]], however this was a calculated misinformation measure to confuse enemy forces who actually attacked these cities.<ref name=":18">{{Cite book|last=Maier|first=Georg|title=Drama Between Budapest and Vienna|publisher=J.J.
