=== Hectopascal and millibar units === {{main|Bar (unit)}} The units of atmospheric pressure commonly used in [[meteorology]] were formerly the [[Bar (unit)|bar]] ({{val|100,000|u=Pa}}), which is close to the average air pressure on Earth, and the millibar.
