==Disadvantages==
* Transportation costs may be higher for voluminous prefabricated sections (especially sections so big that they constitute [[oversize load]]s requiring special signage, escort vehicles, and temporary road closures) than for their constituent materials, which can often be packed more densely and are more likely to fit onto standard-sized vehicles.
* Large prefabricated sections may require heavy-duty cranes and precision measurement and handling to place in position.
