In 1922, he moved to the [[Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes]] as the head of all [[White émigré|White Russian]] refugees.

In September 1927, Wrangel and his family emigrated, settling in [[Brussels]], [[Belgium]], where he worked as a mining engineer.

Wrangel published his [[memoirs]] in the magazine ''White Cause'' (Белое дело)<ref>An alternative name for the [[White movement]].</ref> in [[Berlin]] in 1928.
