===Local government===
Redruth until the late 1800s comprised the Redruth Urban District and [[Redruth Rural District]]. The urban district was merged with that of [[Camborne]] and parts of Redruth Rural District and [[Helston Rural District]] (both of which were being abolished) in 1934 to form the [[Camborne-Redruth Urban District]].
