In an interview published on June 4, 2008, by ''[[The Guardian]]'', former president Jimmy Carter said that he favored Nunn (a fellow Georgian) as Obama's possible choice for vice president. [[Peggy Noonan]], a columnist and former Ronald Reagan and George H. W.
