== Second World War == [[File:TIGR spominska plošca.jpg|thumb|right|220px|Memorial plaque in [[Ljubljana]] to [[Danilo Zelen]], a leading member of the TIGR, fallen in the fight against [[Italian Army]] in the [[Province of Ljubljana]] in May 1941.]] In 1941 several members of TIGR were condemned for espionage and terrorism at the [[Second Trieste trial]]; four of them ([[Viktor Bobek]], [[Ivan Ivančič]], [[Simon Kos]] and [[Ivan Vadnal]]) were executed in [[Villa Opicina]] near [[Trieste]] the same year, jointly with the [[Communist]] activist [[Pinko Tomažič]]. By the time of the [[Axis invasion of Yugoslavia]] in April 1941, most of the organization was already dismantled by both Italian and [[Nazi German]] secret police and most of its prominent members either sent to [[concentration camp]]s, killed or [[exile]]d.
