== Legacy == Polyakov won several awards for his spaceflight and academic achievements, including the [[Hero of the Soviet Union]], [[Hero of the Russian Federation]], [[Order of Lenin]], [[Legion of Honour|Order of the Legion of Honour]], and the [[Order of Parasat]].
