===Scottish Gaelic=== Due to the lack of a governing body, there is no consistent usage regarding the terms for euro and cent in [[Scottish Gaelic]]. The various approaches include: * use of English spellings (including the English plural form and pronunciation), treating the nouns as [[Uninflected word|indeclinable]]: ''an euro'' (genitive ''an euro''; plural ''na euro(s)''), ''an cent'' (genitive ''an cent'', plural ''na cent(s)'') * use of English spellings and pronunciation for euro but with Gaelic case marking (both masculine and feminine as the gender of the word has not been determined to date) ** as a masculine noun: ''an t-euro'' (genitive ''an euro'', plural ''na h-euro(s)'') ** as a feminine noun: ''an euro'' (genitive ''na h-euro'', plural ''na h-euro(s)'') * fully gaelicized forms (based on the Gaelic word ''Eòrpa'' "Europe") such as: ''an t-eòra'' (genitive ''an eòra'', plural ''na h-eòrathan''), ''an seant'' (genitive ''an t-seant'', plural ''na seantaichean'')<ref>Klevenhaus, M.
