== Benefit ==
The advantage of using bus snooping is that it is faster than [[Directory-based cache coherence|directory based coherency mechanism]]. The data being shared is placed in a common directory that maintains the coherence between caches in a directory-based system. Bus snooping is normally faster if there is enough [[Bandwidth (computing)|bandwidth]], because all transactions are a request/response seen by all processors.<ref name=":0" />
