Observers within the gay and medical communities have published concerns about the culture of circuit parties, particularly the high use of drugs and mood changers including: [[alcohol (drug)|alcohol]], [[cannabis (drug)|marijuana]], [[methamphetamine]], [[ecstasy (drug)|ecstasy]], [[ketamine]], [[gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid|GHB]], [[amyl nitrite]], and other "[[party drug]]s".
