=== Chinese combs === {{Main|Shubi (comb)}} In [[China]], combs are referred to by the generic term {{Transliteration|zh|[[Shubi (comb)|shubi]]}} ({{Lang-zh|c=梳篦|labels=no}}) or {{Transliteration|zh|zhi}} ({{Lang-zh|c=栉|labels=no}}) and originated about 6000 years ago during the late [[Neolithic|Neolithic period]].
