==Belvoir tramway== {{Commons category|Belvoir Castle Railway}} [[File:Course of Belvoir (Beaver) Castle tramway - geograph.org.uk - 322185.jpg|thumb|left|The line of the Belvoir tramway]] The Duke of Rutland also constructed a private wagonway or tramway between the wharf at Muston Gorse and [[Belvoir Castle]]. It was constructed in 1814β15, and remained operational for 100 years.<ref name=P>{{PastScape |mnumber=323902 |mname=Belvoir tramway |access-date=29 October 2010}}</ref> It was constructed with fish-belly rail set into stone chairs, some of which, and some wagons, still exist in the castle cellars.<ref name=NGRM2>{{cite web |url=http://www.ngrm.org.uk/Collections/PrivateRailways/BelvoirCastleTramway/BelvoirCastleCellar2007 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140529135048/http://www.ngrm.org.uk/Collections/PrivateRailways/BelvoirCastleTramway/BelvoirCastleCellar2007 |archive-date=29 May 2014 |url-status=dead |title=Wagons in castle cellar |publisher=Narrow Gauge Railway Museum |access-date=29 October 2012}}</ref> The gauge was {{RailGauge|52.5in}}, and the rails were supplied by The [[Butterley Company]].
