===21st century=== In November 2010, the southernmost part of the Hunua Ranges were transferred to [[Waikato]] region.<ref>[http://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/SiteCollectionDocuments/ward_franklin.pdf Franklin Ward map], Auckland Council.
