==Awards and competitions== In 2011 the Library launched its Student Prize, a writing competition open to final-year undergraduates at higher education institutions in the UK. The theme was "The future of Britain lies with the right-hand side of the brain", and the winner was announced in March 2012 as Ben Mason, a student at [[Trinity College, Oxford]].<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.londonlibrarystudentprize.com/winner-announced/|title=London Library Student Prize|access-date=29 September 2014|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://archive.today/20130629173717/http://www.londonlibrarystudentprize.com/winner-announced/|archive-date=29 June 2013}}</ref> The prize was awarded for a second time in 2013 to Kathryn Nave, a student at King's College London, but has now been discontinued.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.londonlibrary.co.uk/images/PDFs/winnersannouncedstudentprize2013.pdf|title=London Library Student Prize press release 2013}}</ref>
