Hercules is the Latin version, that's all.  Same with names that are radically different from language to language – Confucius / Kong Fuzi are two different ways of romanizing the same name, and while Kong Fuzi certainly sounds closer to the original, it's not that Confucius is any more "wrong" than calling Deutschland "Germany" in English.
