=== Original Off-Broadway production === The revamped musical premiered [[off-Broadway]] at the [[The Jane#Jane Street Theatre|Jane Street Theater]] on May 23, 2001, and closed on January 6, 2002. Directed by Scott Schwartz, with choreography by [[Christopher Gattelli]], the cast was [[Raรบl Esparza]] as Jon, [[Jerry Dixon (actor)|Jerry Dixon]] as Michael, and [[Amy Spanger]] as Susan. [[Molly Ringwald]] and Natascia Diaz later replaced Spanger as Susan, and [[Joey McIntyre]] replaced Esparza as Jon.
