== Economy == The major employer in the town is the chemical company, [[LONZA AG]], which employs about 2,550 people.<ref>[http://www.visp.ch/index.cfm?setNAV_a=7 City of Visp website-Industry] {{in lang|de}} Retrieved 18 May 2009</ref> Visp is the economic centre of the region and draws workers from many surrounding towns and even from Italy.
