A modern reconstruction directed by [[Raúl Rojas]] and [[Horst Zuse]] started in 1997 and finished in 2003. It is now in the Konrad Zuse Museum in Hünfeld, Germany.<ref name="Rojas_DCIS"/><ref name="ZIB"/> Memory was halved to 32 words. Power consumption is about 400&nbsp;W, and weight is about {{Convert|30|kg|lb}}.<ref name="Zuse_2001"/>

In 2008, Horst Zuse started a reconstruction of the Z3 by himself.<ref name="Zuse_2013_IFIP"/> It was presented in 2010 in the Konrad Zuse Museum in Hünfeld.<ref name="Zwernemann-Blech_2010"/><ref name="Zuse_2018"/>
