==={{anchor|Cree code talkers}}Cree=== In [[World War II]], the [[Canadian Armed Forces]] employed First Nations soldiers who spoke the [[Cree language]] as code talkers. Tomkins died in 2003 but was interviewed shortly before his death by the Smithsonian [[National Museum of the American Indian]].
