==Support to the English Democrats== In May 2009, the England First Party decided to stand a candidate in the County council elections in Lancashire but did not stand any European candidates.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.efp.org.uk/page67a.html|title=England First Election Results|website=England First |date=5 June 2009 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090609112716/http://www.efp.org.uk/page67a.html |archive-date=9 June 2009 |access-date=23 July 2017}}</ref> For the European Parliament, the England First Party worked with the [[English Democrats]] and attended and spoke at the English Democrats' conference in Darwen. Cotterill stated that the parties had differences on race, immigration and independence but they had in common withdrawal from EU and putting England first.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.efp.org.uk/page57.html|title=England First party speaks at English Democrats' conference in Darwen|url-status=dead|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20090515114457/http://www.efp.org.uk/page57.html|archive-date=15 May 2009}}</ref> The party was de-registered on 14 June 2012, and as such the name "England First Party" cannot be used on ballot papers by candidates at elections.
