==Ecology and geography==

The highest peaks in the area are [[Gabal Elba|Mount Elba]] ({{convert|1,435|m|ft|abbr=on}}), [[Mount Shellal]] ({{convert|1,409|m|ft|abbr=on}}), [[Mount Shendib]] ({{convert|1,911|m|ft|abbr=on}}) and [[Mount Shendodai]] ({{convert|1,526|m|ft|abbr=on}}).
