===Dialect===
The [[Hallingdøl-Valdris|Halling dialect]] is the distinctive regional dialect of Hallingdal. It has many features in common with [[Hallingdøl-Valdris|Valdresmålet]], the regional dialect common to neighboring [[Valdres]]. Differences exist within the dialect, generally between the lower and upper parts of the valley.
