==Theme music and merchandise== ''Hi-de-Hi!'' had a [[rock and roll]] style theme tune called "Holiday Rock". Sung by [[Ken Barrie]], who would later provide the voice of [[Postman Pat]], on the series opening titles,<ref name="barrie-obit" /> the song was later released as a single with the main vocal part sung by Paul Shane and the Yellowcoats (it featured several members of the cast on backing vocals).<ref>[https://www.discogs.com/release/2285817-Paul-Shane-And-The-Yellowcoats-Hi-De-Hi-Holiday-Rock Hi-De-Hi (Holiday Rock)] Discogs</ref> It became a UK Top 40 hit in May 1981.
