Phantom sensations have been noted in the transgender population. Some people who have undergone sex reassignment surgery (SRS) have reported the sensation of phantom genitals. The reports were less common among post-[[sexual reassignment surgery|operative]] [[trans woman|transgender women]], but did occur in [[trans man|transgender men]].
