==Women's role== Satmar women are required to cover their necklines fully, and to wear long sleeves, long, conservative skirts, and full stockings. Written in Yiddish, the decree warns: {{Quote|It has lately become the new trend that girls and married women are pursuing degrees in special education{{nbsp}}... And so we'd like to let their parents know that it is against the Torah.<ref>{{cite news |last1=Fenton |first1=Siobhan |last2=Rickman|first2=Dina|date=August 22, 2016 |title=Ultra-Orthodox Jewish Sect Bans Women from Going to University in Case They Get 'Dangerous' Secular Knowledge|url=https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/ultra-orthodox-rabbis-ban-women-from-going-to-university-in-case-they-get-dangerous-secular-a7204171.html|work=[[The Independent]] |access-date=June 22, 2020 }}</ref>}}
