In [[South Korea]], the spring break originally lasted for two weeks in February with the new school year starting afterwards in March. However, due to a change in the academic calendar in 2015, the spring break was changed to a 1-week break in the first week of May, around [[Children's Day]] (although some schools still keep it in February).{{citation needed|date=April 2013}}
