In 2011, Mehta's performance with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at [[The Proms]] in London was picketed and interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters,<ref>da Fonseca-Wollheim, Corinna. In September 2013, Mehta appeared with the [[Bavarian State Orchestra]] at a special concert, ''Ehsaas e Kashmir'', organized by the German Embassy in India, at Mughal Gardens, [[Srinagar]].
